Regulation S-P would be changed in important ways:

1) to tighten the safekeeping of client data to prevent unauthorized access

2) require firms to maintain a record of their client data policies and procedures and demonstrate effective implementation of these policies and procedures

3) to require limited client information to be made available if and when a rep changes brokers
